Overview

moon cave is designed as a local-first task manager. It does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking.

Tasks, lists, and images

Your task text, lists, schedules, and attached images are stored on your device. A shared Apple App Group allows the moon cave widget and Share Extension to access only the information needed to provide those features. This content is not sent to moon cave’s developer or sold to anyone.

Widgets can display task titles on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. You control whether and where widgets are installed.

Optional weather and location

If you enable current-location weather, moon cave requests location access and sends coordinates to Open-Meteo to retrieve the current temperature. Location is used for this app feature, is not linked to an account, and is not used for advertising or tracking. moon cave does not retain your live location outside your device.

You may deny location access and enter a city instead, or disable weather entirely. Open-Meteo processes requests under its own privacy practices.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, moon cave schedules notifications locally through Apple’s notification system. Notification preferences and pending reminders remain on your device.

Purchases

The optional moon cave Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase processed by Apple. moon cave checks Apple’s StoreKit entitlement information to unlock purchased features. The developer does not receive your full payment details.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete individual tasks and lists inside the app. Deleting moon cave removes its locally stored app data, subject to Apple’s normal device backup behavior. Restoring a Pro purchase restores the entitlement, not previously deleted task content.

Children

moon cave is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as moon cave changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
